By IANS English

New Delhi, May 26: The mother and sister of Rajasthan Royals cricketer S. Sreesanth, who was arrested on spot fixing charges, met him in police custody Saturday evening, police sources said.

Sreesanth's mother Savitri Devi, and sister Nivedita met the cricketer at the Delhi Police special cell in Lodhi Colony, where the cricketer is being kept, the sources said.

The three hugged each other, and cried. Savitri Devi wished that her son is released soon.

The Rajasthan Royals team was rocked by the spot fixing scandal after Delhi Police arrested their three players Sreesanth, Ajit Chandila and Ankeet Chavan and 11 bookies in a post-midnight operation in Delhi, Mumbai and Ahmedabad May 16.

BCCI chief N. Srinivasan's son-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan was also arrested late Friday.
