SRH IPL 2026 Full Squad: Sunrisers Hyderabad walked into the IPL 2026 mini-auction in Abu Dhabi with ten vacancies to fill, including two slots reserved for overseas players. The 2016 champions, however, chose a measured approach, preferring to assess the market rather than engage aggressively from the outset.

Despite being involved in several bidding contests during the early stages, SRH held back from making any major commitments. One of the players they tracked closely was young all-rounder Prashant Veer, but the franchise withdrew once Chennai Super Kings drove the price up to ₹14.20 crore.

With their preferred overseas core of Pat Cummins, Eshan Malinga, Heinrich Klaasen and Travis Head already taking shape, Hyderabad had little incentive to splurge on foreign recruits in the opening rounds.

The franchise eventually made its move in the later phase of the auction. SRH's most significant investment came in the second round, when they secured England all-rounder Liam Livingstone for ₹13 crore, signalling a clear intent to add firepower and versatility to their line-up. Soon after, they completed their overseas recruitment by signing Australian all-rounder Jack Edwards, filling the remaining international slot.

By exercising patience and striking decisively when the opportunity arose, Sunrisers Hyderabad ensured their spending aligned with squad balance rather than early auction momentum, setting themselves up thoughtfully for the upcoming season.
