Chennai Super Kings legend MS Dhoni played a sumptuous knock in the last match against Delhi Capitals.
Although CSK lost their match by 20 runs, Dhoni rolled back the years with a superb batting display at the flag end of the match. The veteran scored 37 runs off just 16 balls, consisting of 4 fours and 3 sixes.

After his scintillating display, many former stars and pundits have advised CSK to move him up the batting order. The CSK supremo has opted to bat at no. 8 for his team this season. Though it provides Chennai with magnificent depth in their batting, Dhoni coming so late has taken a toll on their total score in the matches.
Even in the last match, the batters preceding Dhoni didn't up the scoring rate. Sameer Rizvi scored a duck while Ravindra Jadeja scored 21 runs off 17 balls and didn't help in his team's cause.
Amid this, former CSK star Shane Watson believes Chennai won't be hesitant to move Dhoni up the order in the upcoming matches.
"CSK will be learning from the little things that went wrong against Delhi in their last game and make the most of the things that went incredibly well. One thing was Dhoni, the way he batted, coming in late in the game, which will mean that hopefully, he'll move up the order when an opportunity presents itself, because he batted as well as I've seen him for a long time," Shane Watson told while speaking to JioCinema.
The former CSK star also believes the five-time IPL champions will learn from their mistakes and can implement that in Hyderabad.
"The lessons that CSK learned, that's the reason why they've been so successful for so long because they'll find out little elements they need to get better, they need to execute better and where they went wrong and they'll learn from that. So they'll be ready to go against Hyderabad," he added.
MS Dhoni has ample opportunity to bat higher for Chennai Super Kings in the upcoming match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH are an excellent batting unit and if they put on a huge total, Dhoni's experience and destructive batting will be necessary for the away side to get two points out of this match. Although Dhoni has been batting at number eight this IPL, the experiment of him batting higher up the order can really benefit the Yellow Army. So there is a slight chance that the veteran made that up the order and showcase his immense prowess.
