In the IPL 2025 match today between Sunrisers Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals, SRH have made a couple of significant changes.
Mohammed Shami and Nitish Kumar Reddy have both been left out of the team at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad.

SRH captain Pat Cummins won the Toss and decided to bowl first. Although Shami is likely to remain an unused Impact Player, Nitish Reddy is completely left out of the side.
Mohammed Shami is listed as an Impact Player but has not been included in the starting XI. This decision is primarily due to his underwhelming performance this season.
He has secured only six wickets in nine matches, with an economy rate of 11.23 and an average of 56.17. In a recent game against Punjab Kings, he conceded 74 runs in four overs, marking one of the poorest bowling figures in IPL history. Despite no reported fitness issues, SRH's management has opted to bench him in favor of more in-form bowlers like Jaydev Unadkat and Harshal Patel.
Nitish Reddy has been excluded from the squad due to a combination of factors, but mainly because of his poor form in IPL 2025.
After recovering from a side strain that sidelined him post the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, he has struggled to regain form, amassing only 173 runs in 10 matches with a strike rate of 113.91. Additionally, he has not bowled this season, likely as a precautionary measure following his injury. Given his diminished contributions with both bat and ball, SRH has chosen to explore other options for this crucial match.
