SRH vs GT: Gujarat Titans delivered a thrilling performance to comfortably defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by seven wickets in their IPL 2025 clash at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Chasing a target of 153, GT wrapped up the contest in just 16.4 overs, reaching 153/3 with ease.
Shubman Gill led the chase with a composed and classy innings, scoring an unbeaten 61 off 43 deliveries. The Titans had a shaky start, losing Sai Sudharsan early to Mohammed Shami in the third over for just 5 runs.

SRH skipper Pat Cummins then struck quickly, removing Jos Buttler for a duck in the very next over, putting GT under early pressure.
However, Gill steadied the ship and found an able partner in Washington Sundar, who played a brisk knock of 49. The duo stitched a crucial stand that swung the momentum back in Gujarat's favour. Although Sundar missed out on a well-deserved fifty, falling to Shami, his aggressive intent helped ease the chase.
Following Sundar's dismissal, Sherfane Rutherford was introduced as the Impact Player and made an immediate impact. He played a quickfire cameo, smashing 35 not out off just 16 balls, and partnered Gill to guide GT to a comfortable win with 20 balls to spare.
There is no doubt that Mohammed Siraj is the MVP, who bagged the Player of the Match award for his economical spell that changed the entire complexion of the game. He picked up the important wickets of Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head early on before going onto dismiss Aniket Verma and Simarjeet Singh later on in the innings. Eventually, he finished with staggering figures of 4-17-4, which also helped him to scalp 100 Indian Premier League wickets. In his staggering spell, he also bowled 14 dot balls and 10 of them were hit for runs.
