SRH vs GT: Will rain play spoilsport as Sunrisers Hyderabad take on Gujarat Titans in Hyderabad?
SRH vs GT: Rain threat looms large as Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) take on Gujarat Titans (LSG) in Match 66 of the IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad on Thursday, May 16.
While a win will see SRH become the third team to qualify for the playoffs, the match is a dead rubber for GT, who are already out of the playoffs race.

SRH will qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs even if the match is abandoned due to rain. Points will be shared in that case, and SRH would reach 15 points to finish ahead of the DC, RCB and LSG. They face Punjab Kings in their last match. For GT, the match against SRH is their last in the league stage.
Hyderabad received heavy rain showers on Thursday afternoon as the staff at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium covered the whole ground. The videos of water-logging in various parts of the city also emerged.
Accuweather has predicted thunderstorms from 9 PM to 10 PM. Notably, the action is slated to start from 7:30 PM IST. The precipitation level will be close to 50 percent from 7 PM till midnight.
Recently, the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) vs Gujarat Titans (GT) match was abandoned due to rain without the toss taking place in Ahmedabad. Earlier, the match between KKR and Mumbai Indians (MI) endured a delayed start in Kolkata and the game was reduced to 16-over per side affair due to the rain interruption.
