SRH vs KKR: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have once again stamped their authority as the most explosive batting side in the Indian Premier League, adding yet another massive score to their already glittering list of record totals.
On Saturday, May 25, 2025, at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi, SRH decimated Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) with a breathtaking total of 278/3 - now the third-highest total in the history of the IPL.

This innings further cements SRH's reputation as the most dominant batting side in recent seasons. Remarkably, five of the top six highest team totals in IPL history now belong to the Orange Army. They are also the only team in the world to score 250+ scores.

In their final league encounter of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad chose to bat first after winning the toss and delivered yet another batting masterclass.
Abhishek Sharma gave them a flying start with a quickfire 32 off just 16 balls, striking at a rate of 200. Travis Head followed up with a commanding knock of 76 off 40 deliveries, which included six fours and six towering sixes. The highlight of the innings, however, was Heinrich Klaasen, who remained unbeaten on 105 from only 39 balls, smashing seven boundaries and nine sixes in a brutal display of power-hitting. Ishan Kishan chipped in with a handy 29 off 20 balls, while Aniket Verma played a finishing cameo, remaining not out on 12 from 6 balls.
The SRH batters capitalized on the short boundaries and flat pitch at the Arun Jaitley Stadium, launching an all-out assault on the KKR bowlers. Among them, only Sunil Narine managed to hold his ground, finishing with figures of 2 for 42 in an otherwise forgettable outing for the bowling unit.
Sunrisers Hyderabad's batting approach in the past two seasons has been nothing short of revolutionary. Moving away from their traditionally cautious template, they have fully embraced an ultra-aggressive brand of cricket, regularly breaching the 250-run mark - a feat many teams still struggle to achieve once in a season.
