SRH vs KKR: Sunrisers Hyderabad produced a dominant performance in their final league match of IPL 2025, crushing Kolkata Knight Riders by a massive 110 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in New Delhi on Sunday, May 25.
The emphatic victory was built on the back of a sensational century from Heinrich Klaasen, whose explosive knock turned the game firmly in SRH's favour and reaffirmed their status as the most dangerous batting side in the competition.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat first, SRH got off to a flying start with Abhishek Sharma scoring 32 off just 16 balls. Travis Head then took charge, smashing 76 off 40 deliveries, which included six boundaries and six sixes.
However, it was Klaasen who stole the spotlight. Walking in at a critical moment after Head's dismissal with the score at 175 for 2, Klaasen launched an all-out assault on the KKR bowlers. He remained unbeaten on 105 off just 39 balls, striking seven fours and nine sixes at an astonishing strike rate of 269.23. His brutal hitting dismantled the opposition's attack and shifted the game completely in SRH's favour.
Klaasen's partnership with Head was the turning point of the match. Their 83-run stand laid the foundation for a huge total. Klaasen later combined with Ishan Kishan, who chipped in with a handy 29 off 20, to add another 83 runs, taking SRH to a colossal 278 for 3 in their 20 overs. This total is now the third-highest in IPL history, and incredibly, five of the top six highest totals in the tournament's history now belong to Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Kolkata Knight Riders, in response, never looked in control. Their chase began with early promise as Sunil Narine scored a quick 31 off 16 balls, and captain Ajinkya Rahane added 15 off 8.
But SRH's bowling unit, led by Jaydev Unadkat, Harsh Dubey, and Eshan Malinga - all of whom picked up three wickets each - consistently broke partnerships and ensured KKR could never recover from their early setbacks. Manish Pandey's 37 off 23 was the only significant resistance in the middle order, but it wasn't nearly enough. KKR were eventually bowled out for 168 in 18.4 overs.
The margin of victory, 110 runs, underscored SRH's dominance on the night. Heinrich Klaasen's extraordinary innings not only won him the Player of the Match award but also marked one of the finest knocks of the season. His clean hitting and composure under pressure demonstrated why SRH are the most feared batting lineup in the league this year.
With this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad further extended their record of 200-plus scores, and their brand of fearless, attacking cricket has set them apart from the rest of the competition. As their season ends, this performance serves as a stern warning to the remaining teams ahead of IPL 2026.
