Hyderabad, May 12: Sunrisers Hyderabad will look to avenge the reverse fixture loss when they host Lucknow Super Giants in match 58 of IPL 2023 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Saturday (May 13).
Both teams will look to stay in playoff contention as Aiden Markram’s SRH will look to carry the winning momentum after their recent result against Rajasthan Royals, while Krunal Pandya-led LSG will look to bounce back after defeat to Gujarat Titans.

As it stands, SRH are in ninth position in the IPL 2023 points table, while LSG occupy the fifth spot and both teams will be desperate to climb up the standings as the tournament reaches climax stage.
LSG will be a confident side following the reverse fixture win. But will be wary of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s record at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad ahead of their first visit to the venue.
In the 2 meetings between the two sides in IPL so far, it’s advantage LSG, who has beaten SRH twice including the reverse fixture earlier this season in Lucknow and once last season at a neutral venue.
In the reverse fixture, LSG spinners led by Krunal Pandya restricted SRH to 121/8 before a few cameos from Krunal, Nicholas Pooran and KL Rahul sealed the match with five wickets in hand and 4 overs to spare.
In Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, SRH and LSG have never clashed against each other so far. But the home team has great experience of playing at the venue, which is known to help slower bowlers.
