SRH vs LSG Playing 11: The in-form Sunrisers Hyderabad will be aiming to continue their winning run as they welcome a depleted Lucknow Super Giants on Thursday (March 27).
The IPL 2025 encounter at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad is important for both teams. The Sunrisers recorded a superb victory over the Rajasthan Royals in the last match and would eye to keep their winning momentum intact. On the other hand, the Capitals had an agonizing defeat and need to find a winning formula early in the season.

Date: Thursday, March 27
Time: 7:30 pm IST
Venue: Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad
Captains: Pat Cummins (SRH), Rishabh Pant (LSG)
Historically, LSG have had the upper hand in this fixture, winning three out of their four encounters against SRH. However, SRH will aim to leverage their home advantage and current form to improve this record.
Sunrisers Hyderabad: Pat Cummins (c), Ishan Kishan, Atharva Taide, Abhinav Manohar, Aniket Verma, Sachin Baby, Heinrich Klaasen, Travis Head, Harshal Patel, Kamindu Mendis, Wiaan Mulder, Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mohammad Shami, Rahul Chahar, Adam Zampa, Simarjeet Singh, Zeeshan Ansari, Jaydev Unadkat, Eshan Malinga
Lucknow Super Giants: Arshin Kulkarni, Mitchell Marsh, Rishabh Pant (wk/c), Nicholas Pooran, Ayush Badoni, David Miller, Abdul Samad, Shardul Thakur, Rajvardhan Hangargekar, Ravi Bishnoi, Shamar Joseph, Akash Deep, Shahbaz Ahmed, Manimaran Siddharth, Akash Maharaj Singh, Aiden Markram, Avesh Khan, Himmat Singh, Matthew Breetzke, Aryan Juyal, Yuvraj Chaudhary, Mayank Yadav, Prince Yadav, Digvesh Rathi
For the Sunrisers Hyderabad, injury is not an issue. They are expected to play the same team in the Lucknow clash. Both Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head would be eager to face the LSG bowlers as they famously chased 166 runs in just 9.4 overs last season. Pat Cummins enjoys a stellar unit and will be content to keep the same playing team. They played Abhinav Manohar in the middle order in the last match but may bring someone like Sachin Baby, who is a brilliant fielder as well.
Lucknow remain without the services of Mayank Yadav and Akash Deep. Mayank is still weeks away from clearance and the latter may join a bit early than the speedster.
Avesh Khan has been cleared for participation and is back in the LSG squad. The pacer is likely to get back into their makeshift pace attack, perhaps in the place of Manimaran Siddharth. LSG showed their batting prowess in the last match and they are likely to keep the same unit. If they opt for a change, Abdul Samad is an option who can come in for Ayush Badoni to play against his former employers.
Aiden Markram's struggle in IPL continued in his LSG debut as well. Although Matthew Breetzke is available, Markram is likely to keep his place for this match.
