SRH vs LSG Toss, Playing 11 Update for IPL 2025: Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant opted to bowl first after winning the toss against Sunrisers Hyderabad at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on March 27, 2025 (Thursday).
After winning the toss, Rishabh Pant said: "We will bowl first. I think we got to get them out early and look to chase the target. It depends on the team combination, that's why we want to bowl first. We have the batting to chase it down. The only change is Avesh comes back, Shahbaz misses out. We gonna chase whatever they score, doesn't matter."

Meanwhile SRH captain Pat Cummins said: "It doesn't change the way our boys go about it, we always try to be positive. It's great fun. You know what you are signing up for coming into this tournament. Even going for 10 or 11 runs in an over, that can be match winning on somedays. We want to win games as a team and do well as a bowling unit. Hopefully we score big. We are playing with the same team like the other day.."

The Hyderabad surface has been a paradise for batters, with an average of 24 sixes per game and a staggering 30 maximums in the last match. The previous fixture saw 528 runs scored, reinforcing its reputation as a high-scoring venue. The dimensions aren't the smallest-69m on one side, 67m on the other, and 79m straight down the ground.
This time, a fresh pitch is in use, unlike the previous one that had a bit of grass cover. The current strip is completely dry, firm, and has minor abrasions in the good-length area. While it remains excellent for batting, the pitch could slow down as the ball ages. Being a red-soil track, expect decent bounce and carry early on. Dew hasn't been a factor in past matches, making batting first a preferred choice. With history favoring high totals, a 200-plus score seems likely, though breaching 300 might be a stretch.
