Having come close victories in their campaign openers, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and Mumbai Indians (MI) will look to get among the win column when they meet in match 8 of IPL 2024 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Wednesday (March 27).
Pat Cummins-led SRH come into the match on the back of a 4-run loss to Kolkata Knight Riders in Kolkata, while Hardik Pandya’s MI are fresh from a 6-run loss to Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad.

Sunrisers rode on Heinrich Klaasen’s 63 off 29 balls to almost pull off the highest run-chase at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Saturday (March 23), but Harshit Rana’s final over sealed the tie in KKR’s favour.
MI, on the other hand, were well on their way in the run chase against GT at the Narendra Modi Stadium after Jasprit Bumrah’s spell of 3 for 14 helped restrict the opposition to 168. But Pandya’s side lost their way in the last five overs to fall short of the target.
Now, the two sides will look to open their account at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, where they will clash for the ninth time and also go head to head in the IPL for the 22nd time since SRH made their IPL debut in 2013.
