SRH vs MI IPL 2024: Four Batters Who Can Score Most Runs in Match 8

SRH vs MI: Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will take on Mumbai Indians (MI) in the eighth match of IPL 2024. The game will get underway at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad at 7:30 PM (IST) on March 27, Wednesday.

Sunrisers started their campaign with a narrow defeat to KKR at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Orange Army gave absolutely everything but fell short of the run-chase as they lost by a whisker of four runs.

On the other hand, MI also kick-started their IPL journey with a defeat to Gujarat Titans. Hardik Pandya and Co. had the game in their hands but let the winning chance slip away before they succumbed to a six-run defeat in Ahmedabad.

Let's take a glimpse at the four batsmen from both teams who are expected to score the most runs in the upcoming game.

1. Rahul Tripathi: Rahul Tripathi is expected to do the honours for SRH in the upcoming game against MI. The right-handed batter who came out to bat at No.3 against KKR in the last game, scored 20 off 20 balls including a six. He must be disappointed with the way he approached the game but will be vying to make his presence count in the home fixture. Having played 90 games so far in the competition, he has amassed 2091 runs including 11 fifties.

2. Rohit Sharma: Former MI captain played superbly well against GT in the last game. With no captaincy pressure on his shoulders, the senior pro expressed himself as a pure batter wherein he scored a quickfire 43 off 29 balls with the help of seven fours and a six. After getting off to a good start this IPL, he will be raring to pose serious threats to SRH bowlers. Rohit Sharma scored 6254 runs at a strike rate of 130.16 including 1 century and 42 fifties.

3. Heinrich Klaasen: South African international Heinrich Klaasen hogged the limelight for his blistering batting show against KKR in the last game. SRH's wicketkeeper-batsman scored a chunk of runs against KKR as he top-scored with 63 off just 29 deliveries, laced with a flurry of 8 maximums at a strike rate of 217.24. Unfortunately, he ended up on the losing side as SRH lost the game by a narrow margin. After gaining momentum from this special knock, he will look to

4. Tilak Varma: MI's left-handed batsman Tilak Varma got off to a pretty decent start against GT in the run-chase but as the game progressed, he lost some momentum before getting dismissed for 25 off 19 (1 four, 1 six). He must be disappointed with his dismissal at the wrong time but will be looking to make the amends in the next game. Overall, he has garnered 765 runs in 26 games at a strike rate of 144.07, laced with three half-centuries.
