While attempting to bowl the third delivery of the over, Lockie Ferguson pulled up in the run up. The Kiwi pacer bowls with full tilt but suddenly had to pull his breaks due to discomfort. The PBKS pacer was distress and threw the ball away in disappointment. The physio came into the field and after examination, the player was taken off the ground. The player was unable to walk straight and left holding his left quad.

It is likely that the New Zealand speedster has suffered a quadriceps injury while bowling.

SRH vs PBKS: Will Lockie Ferguson bowl again in the Match?

If it is a hamstring or quadriceps issue, Lockie Ferguson is unlikely to bowl anymore in the ongoing match at the Rajiv Gandhi Cricket Stadium in Hyderabad.

Can PBKS make a Substitution for Lockie Ferguson?

As PBKS have already taken an Impact Sub in, they won't be able to replace Lockie Ferguson as his injury is not a concussion issue.

It is a big blow for Shreyas Iyer as the former KKR pacer has been a source of wickets for him. In four matches, Lockie so far his picked up 5 wickets. With Ferguson out, Punjab's mammoth total of 245 can be in trouble. At the time of publishing, the Sunrisers are 93 for no loss after just seven overs and looking ominous in front of their home supporters.
