Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will be kicking off their IPL 2023 campaign with a home match against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday. It's the second day-match of the IPL 2023 and the action will kick start from 3:30 PM IST.

SRH will be without their newly-appointed captain Aiden Markram, pacer Marco Jansen and wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen- All the three South Africa are yet to arrive in India as they are part of the ODI squad for series against Netherlands. Bhuvneshwar Kumar will be leading the side in Markram's absence.

Mayank Agarwal as well, the former Punjab Kings (PBKS) captain is set to make his debut for SRH, will have a role to play in absence of Markram. Eyes will also be on the likes of Harry Brook, Glenn Phillips, Washington Sundar, Adil Rashid, and Umran Malik.

Top-order batter Rahul Tripathi will also be a player to watch out for in the match. Afghanistan pacer Fazalhaq could also get a chance in the absence of Jansen. T Natarajan is the other pacer who will be in contention for a place alongside Bhuvneshwar and Umran.

For Rajasthan Royals (RR), the availability of players is not a player. There are plenty of options to choose from. Yashasvi Jaisawal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Ravichandran Ashwin, Yuzvendra Chahal, Trent Boult and Riyan Parag are some of the players who make direct entry in the squad.

It would be interesting to see if Joe Root gets a chance to make his IPL debut. Shimron Hetmyer and Devdutt Padikkal might delay the much-awaited debut of the former England captain. There could also be a fight for spot between pacers Navdeep Saini, Sandeep Sharma and Kuldeep Sen.
