IPL 2024 witnessed another moment of umpiring howler as Travis Head was not given Stumped Out by the Third Umpire despite clear evidence.
The incident happened in the 15th over of the SRH innings as an outside off delivery from Avesh Khan was missed by Travis Head.

He lost balance and got out of the crease. Sanju Samson collected the ball and underarmed it onto the stumps. The checking was sent to the Third Umpire but Rohan Pandit, the man behind the TV screen gave the Australian Not Out despite clear evidence that Head's bat was in the air.
The decision from the 3rd umpire was prompt as he made up his mind after just seeing one angle. In the other angles, it was vivid that the SRH batter's bat was not grounded and he should have been deemed out.
The Rajasthan bench was livid with the decision but luckily, Head was dismissed after a couple of balls.
Twitter reacted in shock due to this shocking piece of umpiring. Former cricketer Irfan Pathan and other fans took apart the awful decision-making and criticized the umpire.
"Horrible decision again from their umpire. There were two more frames to see. Head's bat was in the air," Irfan Pathan tweeted on his X profile.
This fan also was shocked by the decision, so was the RR bench as Kumar Sangakkara and others were in shock.
