The Sunrisers Hyderabad batters absolutely demolished Rajasthan Royals in their IPL 2025 opener on Sunday (March 23).
In the scorching heat of Hyderabad, the temperature only rose with an action-packed batting display from the Orange Army.

After winning the toss, Rajasthan Royals skipper Riyan Parag chose to field first but his bowlers failed to put up a show in the encounter.
Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma started in sublime fashion. Despite the latter's dismissal, SRH maintained their merry way. Ishan Kishan was the star of the show for his new team. The young Indian player played a sublime knock on his IPL debut for the Sunrisers, as the southpaw amassed 106 runs in just 47 deliveries, his maiden century in IPL.
Australian star Travis Head played a fantastic knock of 67 runs in just 31 deliveries, while Nitish Reddy also batted well for his 30 runs. Heinrich Klaasen, at the latter stages, played a blinder and thrashed the Royals bowlers apart.
Courtesy of a combined batting massacre, Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a mammoth total of 286 for 6 at the end of their full quota of overs. Incidentally, Ishan Kishan hit a boundary in the final delivery of the innings to register the record for SRH.
Sunrisers Hyderabad have now hit the most fours in a T20 match across the world. They hit a total of 34 boundaries in the match, which eclipsed the previous best of 33 fours in a T20 match between Middlesex and Surrey in 2023.
Abhishek Sharma - 5
Travis Head - 9
Nitish Reddy - 4
Heinrich Klaasen - 5
Ishan Kishan - 11
In the IPL, the most fours in a match record was held by Delhi Daredevils who hit 31 fours in a match against Gujarat Lions in 2017.
