Sunrisers Hyderabad and Rajasthan Royals will play their first game of the IPL 2023 season at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Sunday (April 2) in the first match of the doubleheader.
Like most venues this season, Hyderabad also will host it's first IPL match since 2019 as COVID pandemic had forced matches to be held in limited venues in the past three seasons.

SRH, who finished eighth last season, will hope playing at home bring them more joy. But they'll be up against a team that has had the better of them three times in the last five meetings.
RR, who finished runners up last season, beat SRH in their only meeting last season to level their head to head score to 8-8 in 16 meetings against the Sunrisers and will look to take a lead in the away fixture.
But with showers in parts of the country that also interrupted one of the matches on Saturday (April 1), there is chance of rain playing more spoilsport. Hence, we take a look at the weather forecast of the city on the matchday. But, before that let's take a look at the match details.
