After a comfortable win in the one-off Test, Sri Lanka will now host Afghanistan in six white-ball games, starting with the three-match ODI series in Pallekele followed by a three-match T20I series in Dambulla.
The three-match ODI series will be staged in the space of five days at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Pallekele, starting with series opener on Friday (February 9) followed by the second ODI on Sunday (February 11) and third ODI on Wednesday (February 14).

Sri Lanka head into the seires fresh from a 2-0 home series win over Zimbabwe after a disappointing ODI World Cup, while Afghanistan play in the format for the first time since their decent World Cup campaign in which they also beat the Lankans.
As for team news, Sri Lanka-led by Kusal Mendis have dropped fromer captain Dasun Shanaka. Batter Nuwanidu Fernando and leg-spinner Jeffrey Vandersay have also been left out with All-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and opening batter Shevon Daniel joining the squad.
The rest of the squad features regular faces with Kusal Mendis, Pathum Nissanka, Avishka Fernando, Sadeera Samarawickrama, Charith Asalanka and Janith Liyanage forming a strong batting line-up.
The spin department will be led by star spinners Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana. The pace unit features the likes of Dushmantha Chameera, Dilshan Madushanka and Pramod Madushan.
Afghanistan, on the other hand, will be led by Hashmatullah Shahidi with Rahmat Shah serving as his deputy. Riaz Hassan and Ibrahim Zadran are the other two specialist batters in the squad.
The wicketkeepers for this series are Rahmatullah Gurbaz and Ikram Alikhil. The right-arm seamer Naveed Zadran, who made his Test debut earlier this month, has been included in the squad alongside pacers Fazal Haq Farooqi and Farid Ahmad Malik.
Veteran spinner Rashid Khan continues to miss out with youngster Qais Ahmad taking his spot in the spin department that also includes Noor Ahmad and Mujeeb Ur Rahman, while Azmatullah Omarzai, Mohammad Nabi and Gulbadin Naib are the all-rounders.
Sharafuddin Ashraf, Shahidullah Kamal, Abdul Rahman Rahmani and Bilal Sami are the players who are on the reserve list. These players will come to action when anyone from the 15-member squad gets injured.
