They found support from the middle-order as well with Vishmi Gunaratne and Nilakshi de Silva playing the supporting cast in back-to-back games each to keep Sri Lanka's winning momentum intact.

Oshadi Ranasinghe has been their best bowler with five wickets in the last two games. She found help from the other end from Inoka Ranaweera (eight wickets in the last four games), who took three-for against West Indies the other day.

However, they still will be needed to punch above their weight when they face five-time champions Australia, who threatened another humiliating defeat to another rival.

Alyssa Healy and Meg Lanning have been among runs in back-to-back innings but opener Beth Mooney has failed to score runs. The Australian middle-order didn't get to bat much due to the top-order hammering as the likes of Ellyse Perry also chipped in with runs.

Among bowlers, Ashleigh Gardner delivered a 5/12 spell in New Zealand's batting demolition while Megan Schutt and Darcie Brown have been effective with the new ball. Georgia Wareham also picked her first three-for to add further strength to Australian bowling.
