Sri Lanka vs Ireland weather update: Sri Lanka will resume Day 4 of the second Test against Ireland on 357/1 with opener Nisan Madushka one run away from reaching 150 with Kusal Mendis at the other end at 83 at the Galle International Stadium in Galle on Thursday (April 27).

Resuming their innings on 81/0 on Day 2 earlier, Madushka had an opening stand of 228 runs with Dimuth Karunaratne. This was the third-highest opening stand for the Island nation in Test cricket while Madhushka scored his maiden Test ton. Skipper Karunaratne, on the other hand, scored his 16th Test ton before being dismissed at 115 by last-innings centurion Curtis Campher.

Ireland earlier scored 492 all out on Day 2 with Paul Stirling and Campher registering their first Test tons. Andrew Balbirnie (95) and Lorcan Tucker (80) played crucial knocks as well while Prabath Jayasuriya picked a fifer. It's worth noting that the final two sessions of the third day were affected by rain and bad light following the rain forecast on the day.
