After they shared the spoils in the two-match T20I series, Sri Lanka and New Zealand will continue their battle in white-ball when they clash in a three-match ODI series, starting on Wednesday (November 13).

The 3 ODIs will be played across two venue. The first ODI will be staged at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, while the second and third ODIs will be held at the Pallekele International Stadium in Kandy on November 17 and 19 respectively.

Sri Lanka will continue be led by Charith Asalanka as the squad will see the addition of pacers Nishan Madhushka, Mohamed Shiraz and Dilshan Madhushanka, all-rounder Janith Liyanage and batters Sadeera Samarawickrama and Avishka Fernando.

New Zealand, meanwhile, have retained the same squad as the T20I series as Mitchell Santner leads the team that also includes the likes of Glenn Phillips and Michael Bracewell. But will be without hattrick hero Lockie Ferguson, who has been ruled out due to injury.

Sri Lanka head into the series frest from a back-to-back home series wins over West Indies and India, New Zealand last played in the 50-over format nearly a year ago when they beat Bangladesh 2-1 at home.

New Zealand is touring Sri Lanka for an ODI bilateral series for the first time since 2013 when the two sides split the series 1-1 after the first ODI was washed out. The Blackcaps, however, possess a better record against Sri Lanka.
