The USA Cricket team has made a significant move in its coaching staff by confirming the appointment of former Australia international Stuart Law as their new head coach. Law, who represented Australia in more than 50 matches, including the 1996 ICC Men's Cricket World Cup, brings a wealth of coaching experience to his new role.
The 55-year-old coach has an impressive coaching resume, having held various coaching positions with international teams since retiring from professional cricket at the beginning of the century.

Law previously served as head coach for Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, followed by a stint with the West Indies in 2018. More recently, he worked with Afghanistan and the Bangladesh Under 19 team at the ICC U19 Men's Cricket World Cup earlier this year.
Now, Law takes charge of the USA Cricket team, gearing up for the upcoming challenges, including a three-match T20I series at home against Bangladesh and the ICC Men's T20 World Cup, which the USA will co-host with the West Indies in June.
While acknowledging the tough road ahead, Law expressed his excitement about the potential of his relatively inexperienced squad in the international arena. He sees this as an opportunity to build a formidable team, starting with the series against Bangladesh and aiming for success in the home World Cup.
Reflecting on his new role, Law said, "It is an exciting opportunity to join USA cricket at this time. The USA is one of the strongest Associate nations in the sport, and I believe that we can mould a formidable squad going ahead. The first task will be to prepare the team for the series against Bangladesh and then set our sights on our home World Cup, which will be huge."
Venu Pisike, Chairperson of USA Cricket, expressed confidence in Law's ability to lead the team, citing his extensive experience in coaching international sides. Pisike believes that Law's appointment will contribute to the growth and success of USA Cricket, particularly with the World Cup on the horizon.
Pisike stated, "Stuart is one of the most accomplished coaches in the sport. He brings a lot of experience to USA Cricket with his varied assignments, particularly in developing international sides over the years. His appointment will only help the team grow to their full potential. We are excited to have Stuart on board just before the World Cup and look forward to lots of success together. We wish him all the very best."
USA Cricket is set to kick off their T20 World Cup campaign against Canada in Texas on June 1, followed by matches against Pakistan, India, and Ireland in Group A. With Law at the helm, the team aims to make a mark on the international stage and create memorable moments in the upcoming tournament.
