Sunil Narine has picked up his 500th T20 wicket in the T20 Blast on Wednesday (June 7). The spinner reached the major milestone while playing for Surrey against Glamorgan at the Sophia Gardens in Cardiff.
The West Indies bowler's 500th scalp was Glamorgan and former South Africa player Colin Ingram, who was out caught in Narine's bowling. Narine helped Surrey to win the game by 65 runs against Glamorgan.

Narine has got to 500 T20 wickets in 460 matches. The mystery spinner is one of the miserly bowlers with an economy of just 6.05 throughout his career in the format. Narine already has picked up 11 wickets in the ongoing T20 blast and looks set to break more records in the coming days.
Sunil Narine also became only the third bowler in history of the game to have 500 T20 wickets. Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is ahead of him with 555 scalps, whereas former West Indies bowler Dwayne Bravo holds the record for most T20 wickets with 615.

In IPL, the Caribbean bowler has only played for Kolkata Knight Riders and has 163 wickets to his name. His T20 career-best of 5/19 also came in the IPL while playing for KKR.
