After a disastrous performance in the last edition of the IPL the Sunrisers Hyderabad are ready again to fight for the title. In IPL 2023 the former champions finished at the bottom of the points table with 8 points and managed to win 4 matches only.
SRH will start their IPL campaign at Eden Garden, being welcomed by two-time-champions Kolkata Knight Riders on March 23.

The new recruit from the IPL 2024 Auction, Pat Cummins, replaced the South African cricketer Aiden Markram to lead the squad. The Hyderabad side have successfully put up a team with a perfect balance of overseas recruits with well-aged domestic players.

After missing out on the last IPL, Cummins is back in IPL 2024 as the second most expensive player in the IPL history. He will spearhead the SRH bowling attack along with leading the squad in IPL 2024. The Australian right-arm fast bowler already has enough experience in IPL and bagged 45 wickets. If he stays out of injury and remains consistent enough for the whole of the season, he can be a crucial factor for this IPL journey of SRH.
The Australian batter is already known for his explosive batting style in international cricket. His match-winning innings in the 2023 ODI World Cup Final is the most recent example. Though he has comparatively less exposure to IPL he has managed to deliver some decent performances in this short span. The Aussie-Opener will have to play a pivotal role for SRH in IPL 2024.
The 26-year-old Srilankan all-rounder with his leg-break bowling has already bagged 35 wickets in 26 matches in IPL. Hasranga also being an aggressive middle-order batsman will provide the necessary depth to the squad. Lack of consistency is the main problem in his case. Yet, his all-round abilities could be vital for Sunrisers' IPL campaign.
