Rohit Sharma silenced his critics in emphatic fashion by smashing a sensational century in the second ODI against England at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, Odisha, on February 9.
The Indian skipper's masterful knock not only marked his 32nd ODI hundred but also came after a long wait of 16 months.

His innings played a crucial role in India's four-wicket victory, helping them successfully chase down a daunting 305-run target and secure the series with a game to spare.
Former India batter Suresh Raina is convinced that Rohit's return to form is just the beginning. He firmly believes that the Indian captain is set to follow up with another century in the third and final ODI against England, scheduled for February 12 in Ahmedabad.
Speaking to Star Sports, Raina expressed confidence in Rohit's resurgence.
"That 69m six, the first shot-it deserves some commentary! My voice is already fading, but that flow, that signature of a great player, was evident. Look at all those shots in the 'V'! He used his footwork brilliantly against the spinners. He played fewer dot balls after each boundary and six, focusing more on rotation," he remarked.
Rohit's recent struggles had been a major talking point, as he managed only 166 runs in 16 innings across all formats leading up to this game. His dismissal for a low score in the first ODI only intensified the scrutiny on his form. However, he came out with intent in Cuttack, dominating the English bowlers from the outset.
The Hitman's innings was a batting masterclass as he reached his century in just 76 balls. His blistering 119-run knock featured 12 boundaries and seven sixes, setting the foundation for India's successful chase. Though he was eventually dismissed, by that time, England had little hope of staging a comeback.
Raina, who had earlier predicted a strong comeback from Rohit in the second ODI, highlighted how big players rise to the occasion in crucial moments.
"I had already said in the show that today is Rohit's day. There was a different vibe in Cuttack, the fielding was sharp, and that's how big players are-they win the series today, and they won't leave Ahmedabad without seizing another opportunity. That 33rd century is also loading-I'm telling you!" Raina concluded.
With one match left in the series, all eyes will be on Rohit Sharma to see if he can deliver another match-winning performance and prove Raina's prediction right.
