The India U-19 boys received valuable cricketing lessons from Suryakumar Yadav on Friday (September 13). The 33-year-old, who is now India's T20I captain after Rohit Sharma's retirement from the format, interacted with the young cricketers at the National Cricket Academy.
This interaction was part of their preparation for the upcoming series against Australia starting on September 21.

An NCA source revealed that Suryakumar encouraged the boys to embrace their unique skills and trust the process. "Be yourself always. Each one of you has a rare skill. Bring it on the table as one. Focus more on process and routines and the result will be taken care of," said Suryakumar.
The squad also includes Samit Dravid, son of former India captain and coach Rahul Dravid. The 18-year-old recently played for Mysuru Warriors in the Maharaja T20 Trophy, scoring 82 runs from seven innings at an average of 11.71 and a strike rate of 113.88, with his highest score being 33 against Gulbarga Mystics.
India U-19 will face Australia U-19 in three 50-over games on September 21, 23, and 26 in Puducherry. This will be followed by two four-day matches in Chennai starting from September 30.
Uttar Pradesh's Mohamed Amaan will lead the one-day squad, while Soham Patwardhan will captain the team in the four-day matches. The BCCI shared on X that the India Under-19 boys had an unforgettable experience interacting with Suryakumar Yadav during their camp at the National Cricket Academy.
The young cricketers were advised to unite as a team and focus more on their processes rather than just results. This guidance aims to help them fulfil their aspirations as they move forward in their cricketing careers.
The interaction with Suryakumar Yadav provided the U-19 boys with insights into professional cricket, emphasising the importance of teamwork and individual skills. This experience is expected to be beneficial as they prepare for their series against Australia.
