Suryakumar Yadav did not hold his excitement of landing back home in India and danced to the tune of bhangra upon reaching the team hotel in Delhi. The Indian cricket team, who won the T20 World cup 2024 in Barbados on Saturday (June 29), landed in Delhi early morning on Thursday.
The BCCI arranged a special Air India flight after the T20 World Cup champions were stuck in four days in Barbados after the title triumph, because of hurricane Beryl. Thousands of fans were present at the Indira Gandhi International Airport Terminal 3 to get the glimpses of Men in Blue and the shining T20 World cup trophy.

The team left for the hotel from the airport and received a warm welcome there. Suryakumar Yadav ended up doing bhangra immediately after getting out of the team bus. The video of Suryakumar Yadav dancing ecstatically has gone viral.
Suryakumar Yadav played a key role in the field as he took a catch for ages at the long off boundary rope on the first ball of the 20th over to send dangerous David Miller back in the pavilion. He was also in top form with the bat in the tournament.
Team India will meet PM Narendra Modi after resting for a while after the 16-hour long journey, and then leave for Mumbai where an open bus victory parade has been scheduled from Nariman Point to the iconic Wankhede Stadium.
A small ceremony will also be organised at the Wankhede Stadium where BCCI secretary Jay Shah will once again present the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy to Rohit Sharma and his champion team.
