Mumbai's gigantic stature in Indian cricket remains unscathed, but the state cricket association is under a significant threat.
After Yashasvi Jaiswal's potential move to Goa for the next season, reports are emerging that Suryakumar Yadav is also lining up a move away from Mumbai.

The Indian T20 captain is reportedly set to join Goa as well and is looking increasingly likely to leave Mumbai, as per a report from Times of India.
GCA secretary Shambha Desai, while declining to reveal names, confirmed ongoing discussions.
"We are currently in talks with many players from the country. I can't give you a name right now. We will be finalising other professional players soon," he said to Times of India.
Desai also confirmed that contact with Jaiswal had been initiated over a week ago and that things moved quickly once the young batter responded positively.
"We reached out to Jaiswal some 8-10 days back, he got back to us after thinking over it and now that he has asked for a NOC, the formalities and the required paperwork will be completed," he added.
The potential departure of a talent like Jaiswal has already raised plenty of eyebrows, and the possibility of Suryakumar Yadav following suit adds more weight to what could be a major player exodus. There are also reports that Hyderabad captain Tilak Varma has been approached by the GCA. Interestingly, rumours suggest that Suryakumar may be playing a leading role in encouraging other players to consider the move as well.
In the most recent domestic season, Jaiswal was expected to play in the Ranji Trophy semi-final against Vidarbha but pulled out citing ankle pain. He had earlier featured against Jammu & Kashmir, opening the innings with Rohit Sharma and managing only 4 and 26 in the match. Sources indicate that Jaiswal consulted senior teammates before making the decision and that aspirations of leading a team may have influenced his desire to seek a move.
Surya and Jaiswal both are currently in the IPL 2025, playing for Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals respectively.
