Swann: We won't panic in second Ashes Test on final day

Posted By: Staff

London, July 20 (ANI): England off-spinner Graeme Swann is insisting that his team will not panic on the final day of the second Ashes Test being played at Lord's.

The Aussies need another 209 with five wickets remaining to complete a historic world record run chase.

Swann said: "It wouldn't be the Ashes if it wasn't like this. I am English and we get nervous about anything. Your football team could be 4-0 up at half time and you dare not watch the second half. I'm just glad these first two Tests are living up to 2005. The worst thing for me would be to play in my first Ashes series and it be a pile of s***."

"Before play we would have taken having all their top five back in the pavilion so we know if we get one more wicket, we are into their bowlers," he added.

England sensed a first win over the Aussies at Lord's for 75 years when they slumped to 128-5 chasing 522 to win.

But spinner Swann added: "You never expect them to lay down and die." (ANI)
