West Indies legend Brian Lara has heaped praises on two India probable for the upcoming T20 World Cup.
The ongoing IPL 2024 has been a testament to the players pushing hard for a place in the India squad, and some of them have already taken a stride forward in the race.

In the recent match between Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals, RR duo Yashasvi Jaiswal and Sandeep Sharma showcased their prowess to give their team a fantastic victory.
Jaiswal, who was going through a lean patch, announced his return to form with a scintillating century. Sandeep Sharma, on the other hand, continued to impress with a five-wicket haul, his first in IPL.
And former West Indies captain Brain Lara was ecstatic with the duo's performance while speaking to Star Sports Cricket Live. Speaking on Yashasvi Jaiswal, Lara was happy to see the youngster return to his old self and was impressed by his maturity.
"He's got all the stuff, he doesn't have to worry about it. And when you do get on top of the bowlers, that's when you take it back, because that's what I love about Yashasvi. It was well put together, great cricketing shots, he's managed throughout the innings, and anyone knows, if you're chasing such a good total, at Jaipur and you bounce through the innings, you're soon as going to get there. So he's shown a lot of responsibility, a lot of maturity, and I'm very happy to have him back," Lara said.
Sandeep Sharma only played his third match of the season but made a huge impact again. He not just picked up five wickets, but only conceded 18 runs in his four overs.
"Very, very big impact, and also mentioned the fact that he went unsold a couple of years ago, and came in as a replacement player, and this man is cherishing every moment he has out in the middle. You know, every cricketer in India wants to play in the IPL, and they want to play continuously, and that disappointment of not being selected in an IPL auction, he's now repaying Rajasthan Royals for their belief in him," Lara said on Sandeep, whom he knows from the Sunrisers Hyderabad days.
Yashasvi and Sandeep both are pushing for a place in the T20 World Cup squad and the former has just gone a bit ahead in the pecking order. For Sandeep, it is a tricky situation but if he continues to perform, the door may open for him.
