Former New Zealand batter Scott Styris has predicted four or five favourites for the T20 World Cup 2024.
The T20 World Cup 2024 has started in West Indies and USA and we have already seen some decent bits of cricket. The big guns such as England, Australia, India or Pakistan are yet to take the field while West Indies, South Africa have made a winning start to their campaign.

Defending champions England are playing Scotland on Tuesday, while India will take centre stage on Wednesday as they play Ireland. Among the many contenders in the tournament, Styris believes four to five teams do have an advantage in the quest for the championship.
"I think there are probably four or maybe five (favourites) at any given time if they all find their form. South Africa looks quite good coming in. The conditions will be very interesting, it can be the determining factor," Styris said at JioCinema's 'Know Your World Cup' programme.
The former Kiwi player also thinks the Indian team is a formidable one but fielding can be a concern. He also questioned the balance of the Indian team which can be a cause for concern.
"India has got a lot of talent, but they have holes as well. They don't field really well. The balance of the team could be a problem. West Indies at home, I think will be good. England and Australia, those two sides could be the x-factors," he added.
England won the T20 World Cup in 2022, while Australia lifted the title in 2021. West Indies also won the title in 2016 and are one of the two teams along with England to win the T20 World Cup twice.
