T20 World cup 2024 Fastest Fifty: South Africa opener Quinton de Kock on Friday smashed the joint fastest fifty of the T20 World Cup 2024 in his side's Super 8 match against South Africa at the Daren Sammy National Cricket Stadium, Gros Islet in St Lucia on Friday, June 21.

With his 22-ball fifty against England, Quinton de Kock equalled USA batter Aaron Jones' record. The USA vice-captain smashed a 22-ball fifty against Canada in the group stage of the T20 World Cup 2024.

Marcus Stoinis is third on the list of fastest T20 World Cup 2024 fifty. The Australian all-rounder smashed a fifty off 25 balls in Australia's last fixture of the T20 World Cup 2024 against Scotland. The 29-ball 59-run knock helped Australia chase down 181, and England qualify for the Super 8 of T20 World Cup 2024.

Scotland batter Brandon McMullen hit a 26-ball fifty in the same match. Quinton de Kock features twice in the list of top five batters with fastest T20 World Cup 2024 fifty. He brought up a 26-ball fifty in South Africa's Super 8 opener against the USA.

Quinton de Kock scored 65 runs off 38 balls to give South Africa a strong start against the defending champions. He smashed four boundaries and as many sixes.

His opening partnership with Reeza Hendricks (19 off 25) accounted for 86 runs off 59 balls. The southpaw is currently the second-highest run-scorer in the ongoing ICC showpiece event. De Kock has scored 187 runs from six matches and is behind West Indies' Nicholas Pooran (200) by 13 runs.
