T20 World Cup 2024 Final line up is set as inaugural champions India take on first time finalists South Africa in the title clash at the Kensington Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados on Saturday (June 29).
While South Africa defeated Afghanistan by 9 wickets in the first sem-final to seal their first-ever ICC event final berth, India knocked out defending champions England to book their spot following a 68-run win in the second semi-final.

The Proteas led by Aiden Markram shot down Afghanistan for the lowest total in a T20 World Cup semi-final - 56 All Out before evading early challenges to reach the target in 8.5 overs at the Brian Lara Stadium in Tarouba, Trinidad & Tobago on Wednesday (June 26).
Rohit Sharma's India, on the other hand, rode on skipper's fifty to set a challenging target of 172 in a stop-start rain-affected innings before spinners Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav claimed three wickets each to bundle out England for 103 All Out at the Guyana National Stadium in Providence on Thursday (June 27).
Now, the two sides are set for travels to Barbados as the Caribbean continues to be at the centre of a storm. The South African flight was also stuck on the run way at Grantley Adams airport due to rain and were delayed by nearly 6 hours along with officials, as per ESPN Cricinfo.
Most games of the T20 World Cup 2024 in both the Caribbean and the USA have been affected by rain with some games even being washed out without a ball being bowled, while some games have ended as truncated affairs.
The weather continues to be a worry heading into the title clash of the marquee event with a warning for storm set for Saturday (June 29). But there is an extra advantage for the final. Here is all you need to know about the T20 World Cup 2024 final rain rules:
If rain washes out play or there is a delay or interruption in the match, the contest can be completed using the additional time of 190 minutes. To constitute a match in the knockout stages, a minimum of 10 overs have to be bowled to the side batting second, subject to a result not being achieved earlier.
If both teams do not get a chance to play a minimum of 10 overs each, then the match will be moved to the reserve day, which has a few conditions when it comes into play.
Like the first semi-final in Trinidad, there is a reserve day for the final in Barbados on Sunday (June 30). But there are some rules that will be followed if the reserve day is going to be used due to a wash out on the scheduled match day.
First of all there is additional 190 minutes allocated for the match to be completed on the scheduled day, but if there was no result possible, then the reserve day comes into play.
As per ICC's playing conditions, if the reserve day is allocated, every effort will be made to complete the match on the scheduled day with any necessary reduction in overs taking place and only if the minimum number of overs necessary to constitute a match cannot be bowled on the scheduled day will the match be completed on the reserve day.
Also, if the match has started on the scheduled day and overs are subsequently reduced following an interruption, but no further play is possible, the match will resume on the reserve day at the point where the last ball was played.
As per ICC playing conditions, the teams will compete in a Super Over to determine which team is the winner in the event of a tied final. Even if the Super Over is not possible, the match will be declared a no result if there is no winner decided on the reserve day.
If weather conditions prevent the Super Over from being completed, or if the match is abandoned or there is a no result, the teams will be declared joint winners, meaning India and South Africa will both lift the trophy.
