T20 World Cup 2024: First Batch Of Indian Players Who Left To USA on May 25
The first batch of Indian players led by skipper Rohit Sharma on Saturday (May 25) night left to New York, USA to compete at the T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be held in the United States and the Caribbean in June.
Team India, who will be part of Group A at the show-piece tournament, departed from the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai amid huge fanfare.

India have been drawn alongside arch-rivals Pakistan, tournament co-hosts USA, Ireland and Canada in Group A, and will play a solitary warm up match against Bangladesh on next Saturday (June 1) before they begin their World Cup campaign.
With IPL 2024 Playoff stages being held this week and some of the squad members involved, BCCI has decided to send the Indian players in two batches to the United States, starting with the first batch on Saturday (May 25).
In the first batch, skipper Rohit was joined by a few players and the entire coaching staff as the Indian contingent left from the Mumbai airport late last night. The team is expected to arrive in New York on Sunday (May 26).

Alongside Rohit, Rishabh Pant, Jasprit Bumrah and Kuldeep Yadav were among the travelling party alongside several other stars who are part of the 18-member squad, including the reserves for the T20 World Cup 2024. Here is a look at players who flew out to the USA:

The aforementioned list of players were seen in the pictures posted by the BCCI X handle. Apart from the players, the coaching staff including head coach Rahul Dravid, bowling coach Paras Mhambrey, batting coach Vikram Rathour and fielding coach T. Dilip were also among the travelling group.
Virat Kohli, who played for his IPL side Royal Challengers Bengaluru, is expected to fly out in the second batch alongside the likes of Sanju Samson, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Yuzvendra Chahal and Rinku Singh, who also are part of IPL teams in the playoffs.
Siraj despite being part of RCB flew out with the first batch, but one notable missing player in the first batch was vice captain Hardik Pandya, who was not seen among the first batch amidst divorce rumours.
Vice captain Hardik, who has been training in London, may link up with the squad soon. Meanwhile, the two other travelling reserve Avesh Khan is also expected to fly out with the second batch, which is likely to depart the country on May 30.
