T20 World Cup 2024: Arch rivals India and Pakistan are set to lock horns on June 9 in New York in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, scheduled to be held from June 4 in the West Indies and the USA.
India and Pakistan - who have lifted the coveted trophy once - have been placed in Group A alongside hosts USA. Ireland and Canada are the other two teams in the group. In total there will be four groups of five teams each.

Ashes rivals England and Australia find themselves in Group B alongside Namibia, Scotland and Oman. New Zealand, hosts West Indies and ever-improving Afghanistan have been placed in Group C with Papua New Guinea and Uganda.
The final Group D will most likely witness an intense battle between South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Netherlands and Nepal. Considering the nature of the teams, Group C and D matches are expected to be highly unpredictable and entertaining.
Team India are set to play all their group stages matches in the USA, and quarter-finals matches (if they qualify) in the West Indies. Barbados is likely to host India's first in Super 8. The same venue will reportedly host the mega final on June 29.
Co-hosts USA will face continental rivals Canada in the tournament on June 4. The two North American rivals had squared off in the first-ever international cricket match all the way back in 1844.
