T20 World Cup 2024, IND vs BAN: What will be India Playing XI for Warm-Up Match? Will Travelling Reserves play?

By MyKhel Staff

India is going to play their solitary warm-up match ahead of the T20 World Cup 2024 on Saturday (June 1) as they take on Bangladesh.

The match will be played at Nassau County in New York, where India kickstart their campaign on June 5 against Ireland.

India

Team India is one of the favourites coming to this tournament. Bangladesh, who haven't been at their best, will be looking to recuperate and put up a strong fight against India. The Tigers lost a recent series against USA, which is a big blow for them.

All of the 15 squad members and the four travelling reserves are in USA for the World Cup preparations. As India take on Bangladesh on Saturday, the general expectation is that all of the 15 members will get a game.

As the warm-up matches are not official ICC matches, more than 11 players can take part in it. Hence the Indian team would also be looking forward to playing all of their players. The likes of Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli will test their batting skills, while Jasprit Bumrah and co. will be hoping to hone their bowling prowess.

There will be an official playing XI but players can come in as per requirement and bat or bowl.

India Playing XI vs Bangladesh

Rohit Sharma (c), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Shivam Dube, Rishabh Pant (wk), Hardik Pandya, Ravindra Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, Arshdeep Singh, Jasprit Bumrah

Rotational Players: Mohammed Siraj, Axar Patel, Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal

Will the Travelling Reserves play?

The four travelling reserves will play no part in the match. Although the quartet will be present at the stadium, they won't have any role in the warm-up match.
