India vs Pakistan T20 World Cup 2024 clash on Sunday (June 9) is likely to be played on the same pitch used for Netherlands vs South Africa match, which was staged just 24 hours ago at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York, USA.
The surface on offer at the New York venue has earned a lot of criticism with experts saying the wicket is unfit to host T20 matches due to it's two-paced nature and uneven bounce.

ICC had admitted to problems with the pitch at the New York venue, but said they are working on a way to remedy the situation and provide the best possible surfaces for the remaining matches.
However, there was no real difference in the games played at the venue since that statement. While the highest total of 137 was scored by Canada against Ireland, the Irish run chase was halted at 125.
In the most recent game in New York, South Africa had bundled out Netherlands for 103 before stuttering in the chase as they lost 6 wicket en-route to target which they could only reach in the penultimate over.
India has already played two matches, including a warm up match at the venue, but skipper Rohit Sharma has said that does not give the Men in Blue an advantage over their rivals.
"This is not our home either, yes we have played a couple of games here, but a few of our training sessions have been washed out too...and about the pitch, well even the curator doesn't know how the pitch will behave," Rohit said at the pre-match press conference.
The games at the venue so far has seen teams post totals of 77, 96, 137 and 103 in the first innings, which indicates another low-scoring game on the cards in a marquee clash. Here is a look at the venue stats so far:
Going by the previous record, the captain winning the toss is likely to bowl first as the only time a captain won the toss and opted to bat first was when Sri Lanka skipper Wanindu Hasaranga chose to put runs on the board against South Africa.
