The T20 World Cup 2024 will be played from June 4 to June 30 across ten venues in the West Indies and the USA, an ESPNcricinfo report has suggested. Florida, Morrisville, Dallas and New York are among the shortlisted venues inspected by ICC for the first-ever ICC event in the USA.
While Lauderhill in Florida which will host the final two T20Is between India and West Indies next month - has already hosted international matches - Dallas (Grand Prairie Stadium), Morrisville (Church Street Park) and New York (Van Cortlandt Park in the Bronx) are yet to get international venue status.

Dallas and Morrisville are currently the inaugural season of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2023. A final decision on the venues will be jointly taken by the ICC Cricket West Indies (CWI) and USA Cricket (USAC) in the next few months, the report added.
Scotland and Papua New Guinea qualified for the 20-team T20 World Cup via the regional qualifiers earlier this week. Twelve teams including hosts West Indies and USA qualified for the tournament before the start of regional qualifiers. Australia, England, India, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, South Africa and Sri Lanka. Afghanistan and Bangladesh qualified by virtue of their spots in the ICC T20I rankings.
The 20 teams will be divided into four groups of five teams each. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the Super 8s. The teams will be divided in two groups of four teams each in the Super 8s. The top two teams from each would proceed into the semi-finals.
