T20 World Cup 2024: Marcus Stoinis joins elite list, becomes only third player to achieve remarkable feat

Marcus Stoinis made waves with the bat and ball against Oman at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. The Australian all-rounder was adjudged the Man of the Match for his impactful all-round performances in the recently-concluded game.

1. Dwayne Bravo: DJ Bravo was the first and only cricketer to do the double of scoring a fifty and taking four wickets in a T20 World Cup match. He achieved the feat against India in ICC T20 World Cup 2009 where he scored an unbeaten 66 and registered 4/38 at the Lord's. His scintillating all-round display came in a winning cause as West Indies beat India by 7 wickets.

2. Shane Watson: Shane Watson can take pride in the fact that he is the only cricketer to have done the double of scoring a fifty and taking three wickets two times in a match in T20 World Cup history. He achieved the feat against Ireland and India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2012 edition. Both of his performances came in a winning cause and was adjudged the Man of the Match in both games in Colombo. Watson scored 51 and registered 3/26 against Ireland whereas he scored 72 against India and registered 3/34.

3. Marcus Stoinis: Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis became the third player to do the double of scoring a fifty and bagging a three-wicket haul in a T20 World Cup match. He scored an unbeaten 67 against Oman where he smacked 2 fours and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 186.11. On the contrary, he registered 3/19 with the ball and was named the Player of the Match. His all-round performance came in a winning cause as Australia beat Oman by 39 runs.
