Former India star Yuvraj Singh has made a bold prediction for the T20 World Cup 2024.
As the T20 World Cup approaches, the cricket world buzzes with predictions and expectations. Yuvraj Singh, known for his remarkable performance in the 2007 T20 World Cup, discussed potential game-changers for the upcoming tournament and shared his thoughts on who might emulate his famous six-sixes feat.

Appointed as an ambassador for the T20 World Cup 2024 alongside Chris Gayle and Usain Bolt, Yuvraj Singh has his eyes set on potential semi-finalists. During his talk with the ICC, he named India, Australia, Pakistan, and the defending champions, England, as his top picks for the semi-finals.
When probed about a player capable of replicating his six sixes in an over, Yuvraj chose Hardik Pandya as the likely candidate. Hardik, known for his powerful hitting and versatile play, is currently leading the Mumbai Indians in the IPL 2024. Although his selection status is still a matter of question, this is a big certificate for the MI captain.
Yuvraj also mentioned Suryakumar Yadav as a 'key player' for India, highlighting his role in strengthening the batting unit.
"Suryakumar Yadav is going to be the key player, because the way he plays, he can change the complexion of the game in 15 balls. For India to win the World Cup, Surya is going to be the key," Yuvraj said.
With both Yadav and Pandya playing for Mumbai Indians in the ongoing IPL season, their performances have been under keen observation, especially with the T20 World Cup selection looming.
Reflecting on his own historic performance in 2007, Yuvraj's six sixes off England's Stuart Broad remain etched in cricket history. He was the key performer for India in that historical tournament as MS Dhoni's young guns wrote history.
