T20 World Cup 2024 Pakistan Schedule: Fixtures, Venues, Key Dates

Pakistan will commence their ICC T20 World Cup 2024 campaign on June 6 against hosts USA in Dallas.

The 2009 World T20 Champions will be hoping to consolidate on a decent campaign last term, when they finished as runners-up in Australia in 2022.

Pakistan are placed in Group A along with arch-rivals India. Apart from India, there are Canada, USA and Ireland in their group.

The marquee date of the India clash is June 9 (June 10 in Pakistan and India), when the two neighbours will lock horns in New York. They will take on Canada next on June 11, and then finish their group stages campaign against Ireland on June 16 in Florida.

A total of nine venues across the USA and the Caribbean Islands will host the matches of the 2024 T20 World Cup. This is the biggest participation of the T20 World Cup in terms of teams, as 20 nations are set to battle it out for the coveted glory.

Two teams from each group will advance to the Super 8 and the Final will be played on June 29 in Barbados.

June 9 will be a flagship day in the T20 World Cup as India and Pakistan will lock horns in the group stages. Pakistan will be led by newly-appointed T20I captain Shaheen Afridi. Their solitary victory over India in a World Cup came in the 2021 T20 World Cup in the UAE, and it is to be seen how they fare this time around.

Their match against hosts USA on June 6 is also expected to be a fascinating encounter. The home team is expected to fetch a massive support and it will be a tricky challenge for the Pakistan side.
