The ICC T20 World Cup 2024 is scheduled to be played in USA and the Caribbean from June 1 to June 29 with 20 teams battling for the coveted title. The tournament will be held in two phases before the knockouts, but in a different framework from the 2021 and 2022 edition..
The 2024 edition will see a new format and there will be a total of 55 matches and the tournament is scheduled to be held in June 2024. The new format will see the 20 teams divided into four groups of five, from which the top two teams in each group advance to the Super Eight phase.

In Super 8 stage, the remaining teams will be split in two groups of four, from which the top two teams from each group will qualify for the knockout stage, which includes the two semi-finals and a final.
Now, with the show-piece event fast approaching all teams have announced their squads. Australia, India, England, New Zealand, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and South Africa all announced their squads for the T20 World Cup 2024.
Pakistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands, Namibia, Papua New Guinea, Ireland, USA, Oman, Nepal, West Indies, Scotland and Canada also have revealed their squads for the show-piece tournament. As mentioned earlier, the 20 teams are being divided into four groups of five teams each with India and Pakistan been drawn alongside each other in Group A with Ireland, Canada and co-host USA.
Likewise, the winners of the previous two editions Australia and England are in Group B along with Scotland, Oman and Namibia, while co-hosts West Indies are is Group C with New Zealand, Afghanistan, Papua New Guinea and first-time entrants Uganda.
