Defending champions England qualified for the Super Eight stage in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and the Caribbean as the second team from Group B by edging fellow Brits Scotland with a better Net Run Rate (NRR).
Both England and Scotland finished on 5 points each after their group stage meeting was washed out and the two teams suffered a defeat to Australia, who booked the first spot from Group B in the Super 8.

Jos Buttler's men had to wait till the very last match of their group - Australia vs Scotland - to know if they would progress to the next stage and keep their title defence alive.
And following Australia's win over Scotland, and their own win over Namibia in a rain-curtailed match on Saturday (June 15), the 2022 champions confirmed their spot in Group 2 of the T20 World Cup 2024 Super 8.
