Former India player Deep Dasgupta has handpicked two players who are certain to be part of the India squad in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024.
The World Cup starts in June, right after the IPL 2024 and India are expected to name a strong squad as they look to redeem themselves from the disappointment of World Cup 2023.

The ongoing IPL 2024 has provided a lot of clarity on the team selection. There are already a few players who have taken a headstart in the race for the Indian team, while the others are still in the race to make it.
Amid this, Deep Dasgupta believes Delhi Capitals duo Rishabh Pant and Kuldeep Yadav are certain to be in the team.
Rishabh Pant played a stellar knock in the match against Gujarat Titans, scoring 88 runs off just 43 balls. The DC captain has returned to cricket after a year-long injury absence. His batting blitzkrieg has already made him a favourite to be on the flight to West Indies. There were doubts over his fitness but Pant has shown tremendous physical agility in the IPL, which is a green signal for his World Cup selection.
"He's there in my playing 11. Before today, I think we had this chat before the game as well And I said without a shadow of doubt Rishabh Pant walks into my playing 11. The only doubt before the IPL started was his fitness level after whatever happened a year and a half ago. What kind of physical state is he in and if he's fit which he is, he's better than fit. I mean he's fitter, he's quicker, he's batting better. Without a shadow of doubt. I think that is not even a debate as far as I'm concerned. 15, Yes, he's there," Dasgupta said to Star Sports Cricket Live after the Delhi Capitals match on Wednesday.
Dasgupta also thinks Kuldeep Yadav has to be in the team for the World Cup. The chinaman spinner has reinvented himself with DC and is expected to be in the squad.
"This is perhaps Kuldeep Yadav at his peak with regard to his skills, his confidence You can see now he's out there like a Bumrah or even Chahal at his peak And he's commanding that kind of respect. So this is where Kuldeep Yadav has now become a champion bowler And he's somebody, I mean, the fact should pencil down. Jadeja will come in as a left-arm spinner or batter, The second spinner, Kuldeep Yadav," Dasgupta concluded.
