The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Thursday (February 1) launched the public ticket ballot giving fans around the world a fair and equitable chance to apply for tickets to the biggest cricket carnival spectacle ever - T20 World Cup 2024 USA and West Indies.
The T20 World Cup 2024, the biggest ever tournament in terms of number of teams participating, featuring 55 matches, will be held in June later this year.

A total of 16 teams divided into four groups will battle for the coveted trophy starting with the group stage round robin matches followed by the Super 8s and the knockouts that includes the semi-finals and the final.
For fans wanting to watch their favourite teams and players in action at some of the most iconic cricket stadiums in the world, the ballot is the best opportunity for them to get tickets to all the matches they want, at the venues they want and for the ticket category they want.
Here is all you need to know about the public ballot from the open time, close time, prices, ticket limit and more ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 USA and West Indies:
The ballot period from February 1 until 11:59 PM Antigua Standard Time on 7 February 2024. The ballot opens from February 1, and closes at 9:29 AM IST on February 8 in India due to the time difference.
With demand for all games expected to be high, fans can apply for up to 6 tickets per match and for as many matches as they want at any stage during the period of the public ballot.
The ballot is not a first-come first-served system and all applicants within the seven-day window will have an equal chance of obtaining tickets. Tickets to all 55 matches are accessibly priced to entice both cricket enthusiasts and new fans to the sport.
Following the public ballot which closes on February 7, any remaining tickets will go on general sale on February 22 at tickets.t20worldcup.com, where one needs to be registered to gain access to book the tickets.
T20 World Cup 2024 tickets prices start at just US$6 and over 260,000 tickets will be on sale across the group stage, Super Eight and semi-finals are priced at US$25 and under.
Following the closure of the ballot, successful applicants will receive an email notifying them of what matches they have secured tickets to and will be provided with a link through which payment will need to be made.
If payment is not completed within the allotted time, tickets will be returned to the pool of tickets that will be released for general sale on a first-come, first-served basis.
Start times for all matches are now confirmed here and the evening semi-final in Trinidad and Tobago will now be played on 26 June (reserve day 27 June) with the morning Guyana semi-final moving to 27 June (reserve day 28 June) to allow suitable travel time for the teams that progress to the final.
All of India's group stage matches will start at 8 PM IST, meaning the high-voltage India vs Pakistan match will also start at 8 PM IST on June 9, while India vs Ireland on June 5, and India vs USA on June 12 as well as India vs Canada on June 15 start at the same time.
