T20 World Cup 2024: With the group stage of the T20 World Cup 2024 set to get over on Tuesday, June 18, the focus is shifting towards the Super 8 round which is set to witness some nail-biting encounters.
Eight teams out of 20 have qualified for the second round of the T20 World Cup 2024. Some like the USA have surprised one and all by moving further in the competition despite there being no expectation from them before the start of the ICC showpiece event.

The eight teams would be divided into two groups of four teams each in the Super 8 of T20 World Cup 2024. The Super 8 Group 2 has earned the tag of 'Group of Death' because of three T20 heavyweights featuring in it.
USA find themselves with England, South Africa and West Indies in Group 2 of Super 8 round. While England are the defending champions, West Indies have won the tournament two (most successful team), and South Africa have always been one of the most destructive white-ball sides in world cricket over the years.
The composition would have been changed, had Australia lost to Scotland on Sunday. Scotland beating Australia would have seen England crashing out from the first round of the T20 World Cup 2024. Scotland would have joined USA, South Africa and West Indies.
India, Australia, Afghanistan and Bangladesh feature in Super 8 Group 1. India and Australia finished as Group A and Group B table-toppers respectively.
On the opening day of the Super 8 round (Wednesday), South Africa will take on USA in Antigua. England will take on West Indies in St Lucia, and India will take on Afghanistan in Barbados on Thursday, June 20. India and Australia will lock horns on Monday, June 24.
