India has qualified for the T20 World Cup 2024 semifinals after a fantastic victory over Australia in their final Super Eight match.
The Indian team won the match by 24 runs and qualified for the Super Eight winning all of their three matches and finishing on top of the table with 6 points.

This is the 5th time that India has qualified for the semifinals of the T20 World Cup. They won the inaugural T20 World Cup in 2007 and were the beaten finalists in 2014. In the 2022 World Cup, they were beaten in the semifinal.
India will take on England in the semifinal, which has been slotted as the 2nd semifinal.
India's semifinal against England will be played on Thursday, June 27.

The India vs England T20 World Cup 2024 semifinal will be played at the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
Due to the logistic issues and time constraints, there is no reserve day for the 2nd semifinal between India and England. Rohit Sharma's men qualified for the semifinal as the top team of their Super 8 group, whereas England qualified after finishing 2nd in the Super 8 Group 2. Hence, if there is a washout due to rain, India will qualify straight for the Final.
