Uncapped India batter Abhishek Sharma is making his name as a hard hitter up in the order for Sunrisers Hyderabad in this IPL season.
So far in this IPL, SRH have won two of the four matches. Both of their victories came at their home, and they have failed to win any away game this season. It's clear that their current run has been quite bumpy, but Abhishek Sharma has managed to stand out as he has been excellent in all the games he played.

After these stellar performances, Sharma has cemented their position as an opener or one-down in the SRH-playing XI.
It is certain that Rohit Sharma will lead the squad and will open for India. For the other opener spot, there will be a competition between right-handed Subman Gill and left-handed Yashasvi Jaiswal. The form that Virat Kohli is in right now, it will be impossible to drop him from the squad.
Hence, at no. 3 it is expected to see him and he will probably be followed by Suryakumar Yadav. After that India has multiple options for wicket-keeper and all-rounder slots. As a finisher, Rinku Singh will probably be the first choice.
Hence, it is quite clear that it will be very difficult for Abhishek Sharma to get a breakthrough in the playing XI but he can be an excellent choice as a backup for the opening or No. 3. However it will all boil down to how well he performs in the upcoming matches.
The next fixture for him is in Mullanpur, at the home of the Punjab Kings. The pitch is expected to help the batters and it will be a good chance for him to continue his run-fest in this IPL.
