Harshit Rana is poised to be ruled out of the T20 World Cup squad for India, as it has been hinted by Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav.
India captain Suryakumar Yadav noted on February 6 that physios were assessing him, stating "he doesn't look good".

"He is still not ruled out but looks doubtful. We will know by evening. He had a niggle during the warm-up game on Wednesday but the situation is not very encouraging," Suryakumar Yadav said ahead of India's match against the USA on Friday.
MyKhel can confirm that Rana won't play any part in the T20 World Cup on home soil. The Indian pacer has been ruled out due to a knee injury sustained during India's warm-up match against South Africa on February 4 in Navi Mumbai.
The 24-year-old pacer limped off after bowling just one over, clutching his knee and showing discomfort by aborting his run-up multiple times. Sources describe it as joint tenderness or a knee issue, with reports confirming his exclusion. It will come as a big blow for India, who won't just miss Harshit's bowling, but his crucial batting ability down the order as well.
Although no official confirmation has arrived, reports indicate Mohammed Siraj as a replacement for Harshit Rana in the T20 World Cup. Siraj was part of the Indian squad in 2024 and is set to join the Indian team in this edition as well.
